"Manali-Ladakh Motorbike Tour"
Today I am going to talk about the most adventurous and the dream tour of all bikers. Leh-Manali highway is one of the most dangerous route in the world. High Mountain passes, narrow stretches will send chill down your spine. Bikers have to pass through number of Snow-water streams without any bridge so it requires expertise in driving to cross high speed streams.
Now I am sharing the Itenary of a Freak Traveller.
Manali - Keylong: 3rd July
Keylong - Sarchu: 4th July
Sarchu - Pangong: 5th July
Pangong - Leh: 6th July
Leh - Nubra: 7th July
Nubra - Leh: 8th July
Leh - Kargil: 9th July
Kargil - Srinagar: 10th July
Srinagar - Jammu: 11th July
Dates mentioned above are just for helping you out for estimating the number of days required for trip and plan accordingly.
Major Expenses for bikers:
Bike Tyres off road: Rs 3000/-
Puncture Kit: Rs 250/-
Air Pump: Rs 300/-
Rain Coat: Rs 500/-
Clutch Wire: Rs 50/-
Accelerate wire: Rs 60/-
Chain Spray: Rs 180/-
2 Spark Plugs(Bosch): Rs 240/-
Bike Service at Manali: Rs 600/-
Other Expenses
Accomodation: There are few PWD guest houses, lounge available in the route. So one can choose the accomodation according to the budget. Avoid driving after sunset. Vehicles are allowed only between 4 am - 11 pm.
Taxes: One has to pay State Entry taxes at the time of:
*Himachal Pradesh Entry
*J&K Entry
*Leh Entry
*Ladakh Region Entry
Other expenses include food, petrol, shopping
Overall budget for bike tour from Delhi-Ladakh-Delhi : Rs 30,000 (approx)
NOTE: Budget mentioned above is strictly for Bike tours. Tours with Buses and taxes are slightly less in budget.
Important Points
* Carry your Driving License, vehicle registration number and all other vehicle documents.
* Permit is very essential which is made at SDM office and even at hotels and travel agents also.
*Strictly follow Traffic rules as they are made for your safety only.
*Do not harm the environment and enjoy the beauty of nature.
